Labor Day Fun

The Heussers invited us, the Workmans, and the Petersons on a bike ride at Lake Tahoe. After getting all the bikes on the racks and in the Workmans truck...this took a little time, situating, and juggling...we were off at 8:45am. Later this proved to be a very smart idea...to start early...because at noon there was so much traffic coming into South Lake Tahoe. We got to our final destination at Camp Richardson and unloaded kids and bikes. It was a chilly 60 degrees but the sun was shining and it was proving to be a very pleasant day for a bike ride. We loaded all the little ones in the bike trailer...thank you a million times over, Paula, for pulling F...that couldn't have been easy. We had 3 bike trailers and 17 bikes. We were quite the bike caravan. We biked 6 miles total, stopped at Baldwin beach and the Salmon sight (I don't know what the official name is), and ate lunch at Bijou Park. The bike ride was fun...perfect weather...M got a little tired and had to rest a lot...Emma fell off her bike but got right back on (you're so tough, Emma)...Brady got his shoes all muddy (not sure what the story with that was but his parents weren't too happy with him)...F and Jaynie ate lots of snacks...I am pretty sure Kirsten and M were being too cute even when I told them to stop...and A and Kobey had fun in the car and on the bike trail just hanging out. We had a great time! Thanks, Paula, for inviting us and letting us use your bike rack.
Heussers, Workmans, Creswells, and Petersons.
The tunnel by the stinky dried out stream.
Almost all the kids.
F riding at the end with dad. He saw me taking his picture at least 50 ft. away and was smiling the whole time.
Miss Jaynie is too cute. I love this picture.
Miss M peddling as fast as she can. So cute.
There wasn't a lot of light in here so this is blurry but I was on the bike ride too.
our little salmon...Racquel, M, Emma, and Kirsten

So fun! I love bike rides. Sounds like you guys had a lot of fun. Thanks for the advice on the pics. Check out my blog and see the first ones that I did. They were just practice ones to see what I could do differently. I am lucky she is my friend and will let me try a couple of times to get it right.

Oh how fun. We have been doing more bike rides with our kids. But between the heat and humidity and my having to push Ava in the joggin stroller and can NEVER keep up (I am so not a runner)...I can't say that I am loving it yet.

It breaks my heart looking at your pictures!!! Your kids are growing up WAY too fast, and you don't live here for us to see it first hand :( Thank goodness for the blogging world, right!!!

Everyone looks happy!! Seems like you guys really like out there, but, we really miss you back home (smile)

Good news and bad news. So, (long story short) Stephanie Meyer lent her unfinished manuscript of Midnight Sun (Twilight from Edwards point of view) to someone and they posted it online. It upset her so she is not finishing it, so (good news) you can go to her site right now and read the 250 page rough draft for it. Also, because Harry Potter's movie release date was changed, they moved Twilight's release to Thanksgiving. (Bad news) I don't think any of us can go a month without watching it. So we might our plans to see it at Christmas probably won't work out. (Good news) We all get to see it a month earlier!! :) I know you're a fan, so this is mostly FYI.
