Another 'Getting to Know You' From Angie

Seriously I don't have time to email this to all my friends. I don't even have all my friend's email addresses. Which they are probably thankful for. 1. What is your occupation right now? I am the CEO of a major family corporation designed to promote the happiness and well being of it's employees.
2. What color are your socks right now? I hate socks unless I'm exercising. Hot Pink flip-flops.
3. What are you listening to right now? The hum of my computer and the tick tacking of my fingers on the keyboard.
4. What was the last thing that you ate? chips and salsa
5. Can you drive a stick shift? YES!
6. Last person you spoke to on the phone? The employees at AT&T.
7. Do you like the person who sent this to you? If I say no, my hair will pay the price. So...YES!8. How old are you today? 32
9. What is your favorite sport to watch on TV? College Football
10. What is your favorite drink? water and Diet Coke with LIME!
11. Have you ever dyed your hair? Yes, MANY times! Now I have a hair stylist to make sure nothing goes wrong anymore.
12. Favorite food? olive garden salad and breadsticks. ooooh yummy.
13. What is the last movie you watched? ummm...movie....i watched The Holiday while folding clothes.
14. Favorite day of the year? Not sure...Halloween and Christmas.
15. How do you vent anger? I yell.
16. What was your favorite toy as a child? Don't really remember. I played with barbies a lot.

26. What did you do last night? I watched some of HEROS, the 1st season. It's finally getting good.
27. What are you most afraid of? failure...family being taken from me...or not being able to protect them.

29. Favorite dog breed? Little, Mute, Potty Trained. Don't exsist? Oh well.

Happy Birthday, Brandon!


Today you are...35! I am so thankful to have you in my life. I love you so much and hope that this is a happy day for you.

I was so excited for the presents I got you this year. Usually I think cheap...but this year I REALLY tried not to think about the price of your gifts. And with all my trying...you ended up buying one of them for yourself. Thanks. But at least it was something you wanted and so I give myself Kudos for thinking of it. I hope you like the other ones you will open tonight.

We all love you. And we couldn't have asked for a better father and husband. You're our Superman. We love you and HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

The Suspense Is Killing Me!

Okay, so Brandon and I are on the last disc of Smallville. Confession...Tuesday night we finished the 2nd to the last disc of Smallville. It was 8:32 and grabs a t-shirt...one of those 'basketball' t-shirts and I say...'Wait! You can't leave me here alone to NOT watch the next episode!' (Lana is in the Bel Reeve Mental Institution in a trans and mutters 'Cal-El. You're too late, Cal-El'. And the show ends with Clark crying in her lap. So sad.) So when he was gone....F and I watched the first episode on the last disc. No help! I sat there when it was over wanting to watch another episode. But I knew that if I watched another one...I'd only watch the entire disc. So I read the episode book...No help!
What happens to Lana?
What is Lex doing in the Fortress? What makes Clark start wearing glasses?
Is this the season that makes the connection to the Superman movies? And if so, whatever happens to Cloe! I can't stand it. Loved that Green Arrow came to visit, btw! We haven't watched since Tuesday because we haven't been home at the same time. And won't be until tomorrow. Blast! I can't stand the suspense! It's killing me! Killing me!

Along with the start of school each fall, all the sports and extra curricular activities start. K and Emma started their Baking class this week. They'll have baking and sewing with me and book club with Connie. Brandon and I are loving Smallville. M loves soccer. This is her first year playing and she did really well in her game! And K scored a goal in hers. Way to go, girls! This fall is going to be crazy as always. I have added early morning tennis to my schedule because I am sick of going to a gym with no classes. I felt like a chicken with her head cut off this week with all the after school activities. But let the games begin.

Smallville Junkies

Season 7 came out Tuesday! F and I had to go to 2 different store but finally found it and were so excited. I can't wait to start watching it.

The Balloon Races

We had to leave the house by 4:30am to make the Balloon Races in Reno. We got there just in time for the 'Glow Patrol', that's not the official name. 5 balloons were set up in the wee hours of the morning to 'glow' for our enjoyment. It was spectacular! I loved it. The announcer would say, 'Get your cameras ready because the balloons will 'glow' in 10 seconds. 10 . 9 . 8 . 7 . 6 . 5 . 4 . 3 . 2 . 1 . GLOW!' Then they rose into the air and would take turns 'glowing'...and then all together. It was really pretty. The kids loved it.






After the 'Glow Show', tons of truck, carrying balloons made their way onto the field. They set up right in the middle of things...so many balloons. And we got to watch it all happen. I love watching balloons being blown up and then lifting off the ground. There's something magical about the whole thing. The kids were a bit chilly but we found them playing tag and eating donuts to pass the time. They were so good to take tons of pics with the balloons.






The Reno Balloon Races happen every year. I remember last year, this was going to be the first 'event' we would attend...except Brandon ended up in the ER and the kids went with our new friends the Heussers and Larkins to see the balloons...and thanks to Paula, I got to scrapbook this fun activity for the kids, even though Brandon and I missed it.
I was so glad to have been there this year. What a show! Now all I have to do is pick whick pics will make it onto my scrapbook page. We took so many good ones. I may have more than one layout.

Treats and Tasty Treats

For Christmas this year, I thought I'd make M some felt food. I first saw them at PBKids and thought they were so stinkin' cute. But I didn't think the price was so cute. I occasionally go to a blog called 'Skip To My Lou'. This woman is crafty. I have never met her but her son had made a felt donut. How clever! Then I Googled 'Felt Food' and you wouldn't believe the crazzz! Holy Cow. I saw one picture of an all felt lunch...including the brown paper bag...but in this case it was a brown felt bag. Soooo cute. So here are my cookies and donuts. If I have time I might make cupcakes. Those were adorable. Anyway...I got a donut box from the bakery and placed my treats inside. I will wrap it up and I hope M will like them.

Last night I made a fun treat. They are called Mini Strawberry Napleons. They were pretty good. I think I liked looking at them more than eating them. They are so pretty.

And last but not least...I DID NOT KILL my tomato plant! Hurray for me. My plants even produced 3 tomatoes. This is the only one that is ready to be picked but I am so happy. I was only hoping not to kill the plants this year and to have them produce even one tomato is something! I love fresh tomatoes. And I am really going to enjoy this one.

Labor Day Fun


The Heussers invited us, the Workmans, and the Petersons on a bike ride at Lake Tahoe. After getting all the bikes on the racks and in the Workmans truck...this took a little time, situating, and juggling...we were off at 8:45am. Later this proved to be a very smart idea...to start early...because at noon there was so much traffic coming into South Lake Tahoe. We got to our final destination at Camp Richardson and unloaded kids and bikes. It was a chilly 60 degrees but the sun was shining and it was proving to be a very pleasant day for a bike ride. We loaded all the little ones in the bike trailer...thank you a million times over, Paula, for pulling F...that couldn't have been easy. We had 3 bike trailers and 17 bikes. We were quite the bike caravan. We biked 6 miles total, stopped at Baldwin beach and the Salmon sight (I don't know what the official name is), and ate lunch at Bijou Park. The bike ride was fun...perfect weather...M got a little tired and had to rest a lot...Emma fell off her bike but got right back on (you're so tough, Emma)...Brady got his shoes all muddy (not sure what the story with that was but his parents weren't too happy with him)...F and Jaynie ate lots of snacks...I am pretty sure Kirsten and M were being too cute even when I told them to stop...and A and Kobey had fun in the car and on the bike trail just hanging out. We had a great time! Thanks, Paula, for inviting us and letting us use your bike rack.
