ward reunion
well.....
my week has been from hell....a has been sick all week long, b has been in tahoe and came home wednesday @ midnight, trying to get the house organized and dejunked, coordinating movers and packers, and a gift for my brother in laws reception saturday.
but...thursday night we had a ward 'reunion' and parade for the kids to celebrate pioneer day. the 2nd and 3rd foxboro wards got together for a bbq. it was so good to see our friends that are in a different ward now. b and i were in line getting our family some food when we hear...'can we have the bishop and staci come over here'...over here meaning where lynette was holding the microphone. so we left our place in line....b put f on his shoulders and we put our plates down.
on behalf of the ward members, lynette thanked b for being such a wonderful bishop and forming the foxboro 2nd ward....he had tons of help...and for the love he showed everyone. i was moved to tears as she spoke and was getting all choked up herself when out of no where we hear 'SPLAT'. it came from above. we looked up to see b leaning forward and f throwing up on b's head! it was soo funny that we all started laughing! i couldn't believe it. that only happens in the movies! it was classic. jess wright was passing behind us and gave b a glass of water to wash his head off with.
then lynette presented us with this amazing sculpture of christ. her dentist friend made it for us and it is simply amazing. we LOVE it so much. it's beautiful. thank you so much lynette.
we have had such an amazing 2 and a half years here in utah. we have made some wonderful friends...kindred spirits, as anne of green gables would say, and we are so sad to be leaving. we love you all and will keep you posted as to where in nevada we end up. we are really going to miss you all.

joseph & kathryn's wedding
so my brother in law got married on friday the 13th. in idaho falls. what a gorgeous day. it started out by me getting out of bed at 4:45am...NEVER happens. got ready and out the door by 5:30am. i went across the street from the hotel to wal-mart to find some shoes and a shirt to match my white skirt. i was so happy that they were even open. hurray! then it was off to the temple...4 miles away for pictures at 7:00am.
pictures went well. joe and kathryn couldn't stop smiling. and that's just their personalities. what a fun and happy couple they will be. her dress was so simple and lovely. i just loved it. we were done in about 45 min. then they went inside the temple and i went back to the hotel to get dressed and help the girls with their hair. nothing fancy.
we got back to the temple for the sealing and it was beautiful. joe kept looking at kathryn, trying to make eye contact but she kept looking down and then at the sealer. she reminded me of me on my wedding day. i couldn't even look at b and when i did...i started to cry. NOT because i was unhappy...quite the opposite. my mil said she was the same way. the sealing was over and it was back outside for more pictures. they went well. in the sun.
when they were over we went back to the hotel to change for lunch. then to chuck-a-rama. yuk! but it was the cheapest thing my mil could find. i ate...not too much, i was very proud of myself, salad, cottage cheese, sticky buns, and a main course of chicken and mashed potatoes, and 2 diet cokes. then b took the kids back to the hotel for a nap and i went with my mil, sandy, leah, emilie, and david to the mall.
rachel, my mil, bought me a cute shirt from wet seal, and the girls found accents for their dresses for the reception. as we were leaving the mall...david, emilie, and i went into barnes and noble to find something for joe's wedding night. we found a game in a little pink box...it was kind of cute if you are into those kinds of games. we wrapped it up set it in the front seat of his car for their honeymoon. let the games begin. we were all so proud of ourselves. then it was off to the movie theatre for some harry potter movie tickets. we bought for the 10:10pm showing. we could do it and stay awake, we told ourselves.
then it was back to the hotel to change and out to blackfoot for the reception. we all got dressed and we were on our way. the kids and b took a long 2 hours nap and were well rested. i was starting to feel the effects of waking up at the crack of dawn. but i was doing okay. i slept for about 20 min. of our 30 min. drive. we got to kathryn's driveway...it was a long and bumpy gravel road. we read a sign that said to park in the pasture then walk up to the house. i was wearing heels and i was suppose to walk in the dirt and gravel to her house! you're killing me. it was a VERY slow walk. i ate fruit and ice cream and had a glass of water. then i was sick to my stomach. it was not good.
i went inside to get out of the heat and just layed on the couch until b came to tell me we were leaving. thank goodness. i felt like throwing up all the way home. at about 8:30 i threw up. all my dinner. i think it was a combination of dehydration and chuck-a-rama food. i didn't feel the best but i bucked up for harry potter and really enjoyed the movie. then after i went straight to bed.
got up in the moring to leave and slept in the car on the way home. got home and went back to bed. by sunday morning i was feeling 100% better. i am glad to be home.

del sol model
so my sister in law emilie works for del sol. they make apparel that turns color in sunlight. shoes, jewerly, accessories, clothing, stuffed animals. so they were shooting their annual catalog and needed a 5 year old girl. she said she had a niece that was 5 and was the cutest. so they took a look at my blog and all of m's pics. called me an hour later and said they were interested and if she would be available on such and such date. i said of course. so today was the such and such date. we went to their studio and they had created a really beach with sand and beach balls, a real log to sit and eat ice cream on, a hammock, the works. it was so cute. m did such a good job. we curled her hair and painted her toes and fingernails, with del sol brand polish (way cute) and we were off. she smiled so cute and made friends with 3 other girls in her same shoot. she had so much fun. she got to keep her 2 outfits, sandals, hair clips, watch, rings, and a goody bag. she was way excited. all the girls were ADORABLE. what a fun adventure she had.
kiel
okay so i found out how to pronouce my new nephew's name spelled KIEL. it's easy...KYLE. hello. so cute. we did pics of him when they came to help celebrate m's birthday. what a cutie. 2 weeks old.
happy birthday m!
m turned 5 on monday and i am so behind i can't even blog it fast. but we had a great party. she wanted to have a luau! and since it's july and hot as heck outside we set up a slip n slide and a baby pool. thanks missy. we had cold drinks, otter pops, and a turtle pinata. we had a yummy cake complete with magnetic flip flops. all the kids got leis and a beach scene complete with hawaiian stickers. tons of candy! sorry moms but it is a party. m got lots of great gifts from all her friends. good times. i can't believe she's 5. it will really hit me when fall comes and she's in kindergarten. we love her so much.

4th of july weekend
i hope you all had a great independence day...weekend! we had a great time with the woodruffs at the idaho cabin. we got to brigham city when b turned to me and asked if i grabbed the cabin keys from the kitchen drawer. i said, no. he hadn't either apparently. oh boy! so i told him to call his brother, who just moved to idaho and was staying with his in laws in caldwell, if we could borrow his keys. thanks dallin.
we all had so much fun. here are so highlights: swimming in the lake, swinging on the swings, watching b and bishop woodruff racing down the hill in a little red wagon, eating homemade ice cream (thanks jen), hiking to the head of the ditch (a traditional hike), playing the longest game of spades ever, eating tons of yummy food, watching fireworks, lounging in a tub on the lake, boys catching tadpoles, m making best friends with jen and bishop, watching superman, playing games with the kids.
f and b in the lake
bishop woodruff in the wagon
f picking his nose
k and b chillin' before the fireworks
f and a wrestling with dad
the whole gang at the head of the ditch
hiking
homemade ice cream can be very exhausting!
we had such a great time. thanks woodruffs for going with us. i told b that we should always bring friends with us to the cabin. the kids were all entertained and occupied and us grown ups could just relax.
