Snake Charmer

Field Trip! A's class went to the Snake and Insect Museum in Reno yesterday. They saw lots of insects like Preying Mantus, Centipedes and Milipedes, Scorpians, and Tarantullas! Then the snakes. This is A with an albino Python. He really enjoyed holding this large snake but would not hold the centipede. To funny.

Ewe...I hate snakes. We have to mow the lawns at the water lab here and sometimes there are snakes there. Me and another girl are terrified of them but she said that her goal in life is to get a pic of her with a snake around her neck. I told her I could definately live a life without doing that. It makes me cringe. I'm glad A liked it though:)

Great picture! It reminds me of my good ol' days working at the Bean Museum at BYU, taking care of the reptiles and doing reptile shows for the kids. But we only let the kids touch the snakes-- never let them hold the snakes or put them around their neck-- so it's lucky Adam got to do that!

Adam, you are very brave. Looks like he is having too much fun with that snake, maybe he'll be the next crocadile dundi!

That is crazy. I wouldn't want to be close enough to take the picture!

I love that picture! My siblings and I have similar pictures with a snake just like that from when we were younger (and by younger I mean too young to realize that we hate snakes) Its a cool tradition. :)

I can barely stand to look at a snake!!! I can't believe he is holding it. It gives me the chills. Good for him!

What a brave boy! I would not be able to hold that snake, I thought for a second it had to be a fake snake, awesome picture. That sounds like a super fun school activity.

Yikes!
It was fun to see your blog again, but the Pregnancy Q & A (hilarious, by the way) left me wondering if you're pregnant. I couldn't find it anywhere on the blog, so I'm just assuming you're not, unless I hear otherwise.
Oh, to answer your question, we took our family picture at Paul's parent's house in Paradise, Ut (Cache Valley). Great view, huh?
