Happy Easter!

Brandon had 3 hours of talks/lessons today. He was asked to speak in sacrament mtg., then give his lesson in Gospel Doctrine, and finally it was his turn to give the JS lesson in High Priests. WOW. He said it was a perfect way to be intuned to the spirit. His talk was wonderful. All the talks were. So filled with a special spirit. There are so many reasons to love the gospel of Jesus Christ. But the best one of all...is the knowledge of Christ's Atonement and Resurrection. What a wonderful gift He has given to all men everywhere. To know that I can be forgiven of my sins...if I do my part...and then be resurrected like my Savior and live with my Father in Heaven once again brings great joy and happiness to my life.
After church, quiet time, and a good nap...Brandon and I set to work on our Easter feast. We got the Apple Pie and Ham going in the oven, while I made 'Emilie's Yummy Rolls'. While the dough was rising we read, played the piano, prepared green bean casserole, peeled, cut, and cooked the potatoes. Then it was time to roll out the rolls, make the Ham sauce, and put everything else in the oven. K made the deviled eggs before quiet time so they were already chilling in the fridge. Finally everything was done. And all so tasty! Happy Easter everyone!

Looks like a fun Easter! I love the picture of the blossoms at the top of your blog. So pretty! I have an exploding egg story myself. Last year I heated up a boiled Easter egg in the microwave so I could eat it, and when I bit into it it exploded in my mouth and everywhere else! I got a burned tongue, too. Lessons learned. Glad you could laugh about it with your kiddos, despite the mess.
