we have hit the 'middle age' stage. it's the point where your kids, if needed, start to show signs of needing braces, retainers, expanders, spacers. i remember my parents hitting this stage...alot latter than now but i remember the braces and head gear...yes i had to wear head gear. laugh if you want but now i have straight teeth!
k had her first phase appointment today. she had her panoramic x-ray, then her mouth pics...these were not fun for her, then molds were made, and the spacers put into place. she is such a big girl. sometimes i think she's growing up so fast. remember when you use to pretend that gum was your braces...or a paper clip was your retainer? she does that. and now no chewing gum or stinky, gooey foods. she's kind of bummed but deep down i think she's excited to have these things to fix her teeth. not that she's ever been worried about them.
next week she will get her expander. i am excited to see the progress it will make and k just thinks it's cool. i just love her outlook on life. i wish i could be as cool as her. so does she.

What a brave girl. I remember having braces not all that fun but its worth it in the long run. I cant believe she is old enough for braces... your babies are growing up :(
i never had braces but i wish i would have.
LOL does that make you feel OLD that you have one getting braces?? It seems like they are putting them on kids younger now days. I didn't get them until I was 13 (then didn't get them off til 17...yeah I hear you on the head gear and all that). Made for some fun high school years!
I am glad she is excited about it!! Brayden is definetly going to need to get work done on his teeth. I am not looking forward to that day.
Yeah for braces! I loved them. I hated my teeth so bad that I thought they were an improvement! She will look so cute
I am so not excited to have to pay for those one day I already know kens will need them!!!But, better then ugly teeth huh!!
